Cairo - Aswan - Abu Simbel - Luxor - Cairo
Nine days timed around the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027, with Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel and a three-night Nile cruise ending in Luxor, where you watch totality.
Begin with the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara in Cairo, then fly south to Aswan and Abu Simbel. Board a Nile cruise for Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor, where the eclipse passes overhead on Day 7 with more than six minutes of totality.
The last day back in Cairo covers the Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili. A private Egyptologist guides every visit, and the eclipse viewing spot is confirmed before you travel.
Our representative meets you at Cairo airport and takes you to your hotel. In the evening, watch the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza.
A full day with your Egyptologist: the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, the Tutankhamun collection at the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara. Overnight in Cairo.
Morning flight to Aswan. Visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk in its granite quarry and Philae Temple on its island. Overnight in Aswan.
Visit the two rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari at Abu Simbel, then board your Nile cruise for the next three nights, full board.
Sail north, visiting the double temple of Kom Ombo and the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Overnight on board.
Explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight on board.
Visit Karnak and Luxor Temple, then watch the total solar eclipse from the confirmed viewing spot. Wear certified eclipse glasses during the partial phases.
Fly back to Cairo. Visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Hanging Church in Coptic Cairo, Khan el-Khalili and Al-Muizz Street.
Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight home.
